Thermal weed control
Thermal weed control or thermal weed control is the destruction of weeds using heat. ADLER does not rely on open flames, but on infrared radiation at approx. 800-900 °C, which is generated using high-quality ceramic plates. This technology, which has been tried and tested over many years, is not only environmentally friendly, but also quiet, energy-efficient and cost-effective.
ADLER infrared heaters for thermal weed control are available as hand-held devices with electric ignition, either compact and foldable or with electric drive. On the other hand, our infrared heaters are available as attachments in various sizes and configurations for tractors, farm loaders, Unimogs and other carrier vehicles. This means that there is a suitable weeding machine for every desired working width and area output.
Thanks to our ADLER plug-and-play principle, there is hardly any set-up time – simply unfold or attach, ignite and remove weeds!
Weed removal with infrared rays
This is how thermal weed removal with infrared rays works: The infrared rays from the gas burner hit the weeds. The heat causes the protein-containing plant cells to burst. This causes the plants to wither within 2 to 3 days. This allows you to effortlessly remove weeds from large areas and permanently remove weeds from walkways. Ideal if you want to remove weeds from large squares and wide paths in an environmentally friendly way, for example. By regularly tilling the area and destroying the seeds, you also push back the weeds and reduce regrowth in the long term. Use these environmentally friendly weed killers to remove unwanted weeds from paving stones without the need for joint cleaners or chemical weed killers.
